Anniversary

Today is the six month anniversary of the National Wild Horse & Burro Summit held last October in Las Vegas, NV, where wild horse and burro advocates came from all over the county to be led by Summit leaders Jerry Reynoldson (Wild Horses 4 Ever), Karen Sussman (International Society for the Protection of Mustangs and Burros) and Marisa Morin (Healing Power of Horses). Click Here to view the 10/15/08 post, "The Gathering".

Here's a quick update of what's been done with the plans that were laid and promises made to both Summit participants and those across the nation looking for organization, focus and positive solutions to help save our imperiled wild horses and burros.....

Great Post!

It (the ultimate results of The Summit) was such a waste of REALLY precious true energy - that could have been a real Fired-up Future Victory.

It is no wonder the BLM and their co-conspirators have gotten away with all that they have over the past 10-20 years.

It appears that No one in the Advocacy can get along – much less actually DO anything.

Everyone has their own agenda – 99% of which goes nowhere.

Please know: These horses are going to die because of your kingdom building and petty bickering.

Some of the Anonymous comments are True.

However, the Wild Horse and Burro Advocates have seen what the end results have been with egotistical bickering and are uniting.

They have joined forces to turn the years of strategical "conquering and dividing" by special interests groups into jumped hurdles.

AWARE and ARMED the TROOPS are GROWING.Mainstream America is becoming more engaged as the TRUTH is exposed with access to information such as this Blog!

There have been so many of these meetings. Nothing has ever come out of them except more talking.

Wild horse advocates -- like so many other advocates -- all have agendas, without exception. What they are I am not sure; it varies from one to the other.

Perhaps it is too much to ask they be any different than other group of humans.

Rep. Nick Rahall has introduced a bill that will begin to solve most of the ills, and address the most critical of them. Without a law in place all he can do is write the BLM threatening letters. So far they have listened. What if they stop?

The bill is HR 1018 (ROAM Act), and wild horse advocates refuse to back it -- and are calling for a boycott of it. Reason: they don't like this word or that phrase.

Perhaps the BLM should round the advocates up and put them in holding pens. The wild horses & burros would be no worse off, and they could blab away to their hearts content until they are all gone, problem solved, the end.
